I am super excited to announce the launch of my new Website, From Ashes.
This is the first official post on the site (although we did pull some old posts from my blogger account over 🙂 ).
I wanted to make an official introduction post so that I could share with you, my amazing readers, what this site and the blogs are going to be about.
The “why am I sitting here writing and posting blogs (and stuff) on the internet”. The point and what you awesome people can expect (and hopefully collaborate on).
1.) We All Have Story:
A few years ago I was finally (FINALLY!!!) diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis after most of my existence believing that I was chronically clumsy. That constantly tripping over my own feet, always being exhausted, and, well, I could go on and on… BUT the point is, a few years ago after that diagnosis, something in me changed.
God changed something inside of me. The diagnosis was hard, and life thereafter has been a battle. But, at that point, I went from keeping silent as I battled through my pain to having this urge from within to talk about it. To share and not to stay silent.
Not for sympathy or charity, but because inside I knew someone, somewhere was going through the same thing. Someone needed to know that they were not alone. Someone needed to be reminded of hope and how God could turn their dirty diagnosis (or life junk in general) filled with ashes into something beautiful for his glory.
And though being a former foster care youth, multiple miscarriages, high-risk pregnancies, not knowing my biological father, and Secondary Progressive Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis are characters in my story, they are not my story.
My story is this: God constantly making beauty from ashes.
I am creative. I have ideas. I like spray painting stuff gold.
I’m not perfect and God is always working out stuff in my heart.
A new page of my story is unfolding day by day. Moment by moment.
And, this is a space where I can share about all of that.
So, for some people “Community” and “Online” seem like an oxymoron.
“Can you really cultivate relationships and friendships with people you don’t really know in real life? ”
I want this to be a place where people can share their stories, pray for each other and where we can encourage each other.
Use that comment section!
Also, we’ll have some guest bloggers stop by and share what’s on their heart. Maybe a cool craft or perhaps some deep heart-work God is doing in their life.
(And if you’d like to be a guest blogger, use the contact form on the ‘Contact Page’.)
3.) A Place To Host What I Like Doing:
I like creating and learning new things from content and videos on Youtube to T-Shirts online .
And because of that, I needed a place to host all of those things.
And a huge thank you to Sheri Lossing for building this website for me!
(please make sure to check out her website! She does great work.)
So, with that, Miss P is ready to start her craft for this Sunday afternoon so I will be signing off.
